The Cottages
Our luxurious cottages are the perfect setting for a romantic getaway. Relax on your own private balcony, book our premium Kahu Cottage with spa for ultimate indulgence, and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset over the rolling Catlins hills.
Equally, we can configure our cottages to provide a wonderful family escape.
Homely Comforts
Indulge in a restful night's sleep on a quality mattress wrapped in tastefully selected linen. Each cottage is cosy with double glazing and electric heating.
Cottages are self-contained with ensuite featuring a walk-in shower, flushing toilet, basin and eco-friendly toiletries.

Dining In
Pre-order continental breakfast, a BBQ pack, or an antipasto platter and enjoy locally sourced produce, just tick the check box/s when booking your cottage (or email us at least 10 days prior to arrival). Otherwise, BYO and take advantage of the equipped kitchenette, or barbeque on your own deck, and cook up culinary delights in your own cottage.
The Grounds
Mohua Park offers 4 kilometres of private natural walking tracks in the stunning Catlins Valley to explore and enjoy. Take in the Moss Garden sculptures and enjoy the native flora and fauna. It is also a bird watchers haven, with our carefully preserved habitats, you'll have the opportunity to spot a variety of native and rare bird species.
Free from light pollution, on a clear evening, stars bring the night sky to life, brilliant for astro-photography.

A couple of fun facts about us. We’re high school sweethearts, we do most things together, including sharing a career in the transport industry spanning more than four decades.
We’re now fulfilling a lifelong dream of owning and managing a boutique bed and breakfast, and are so looking forward to welcoming you to The Catlins.

To navigate your way to us in the Catlins Valley with the help of Google Maps click here. Reaching us will entail a drive along gravel roads, however you can do this in a car, 4WD is not necessary. To help familiarise you with the Catlins and the way, we have prepared this video for you.
